I couldn't see myself carrying the weight of the 150-600s, the 100-400 is really quite manageable. Saying that $500 for the 300mm is a nice deal.

Keep the 100-400 for zoom. The 150-600 sport is a nice lens, but heavy for a zoom. I haven’t used the 60-600, but from what I’ve read, it gets soft getting to 600mm. WebIMO, a 100-500 is a good intermediary between a 150-600 and a 600 f/4 if you don't have the big bucks to spend. Aside from the increased focal length and aperture, it provides a similar boost in image quality, IS, focusing over a 150-600. Obviously, I'd love to have both, though.
