Webb10 okt. 2024 · Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common cancer diagnosed in men globally, after lung cancer. Many patients with PCa are asymptomatic until the tumor has progressed. The prognosis of PCa mainly depends on the presence of metastatic spread. It usually metastasizes to the bone, lung, and liver. WebbA man whose prostate cancer spread to the bone does not have bone cancer. More than 60 percent of men with advanced prostate cancer will eventually develop bone metastases. The bones most commonly affected are the spine, hips, and ribs.
